Almanac supports PDFs, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, Excel workbooks, CSV files, text and Markdown files, images, and DICOM studies.
Almanac can read a file page by page, extract information from it, compare it with other material, and create a new file from its contents.
Read the attached PDF and make a table of every reported adverse event, including the incidence, study arm, and source page.
View files
Files in the conversation open in Files in the side panel.
- Documents, presentations, and spreadsheets appear in their original layout. Presenter notes are included with slides.
- PDFs include tools for highlighting passages, adding points, boxes, or notes, and selecting a region to discuss with Almanac.
- CSV files and spreadsheets open as tables you can scroll and ask about.
- DICOM studies open in a viewer with window and level controls, pan, zoom, and navigation through a stack or cine loop.
Use your Library
Add files you use regularly to Library in the sidebar, such as a department protocol, formulary, or template. Library files are available across conversations.
To reference a Library file, type @, then select it.
Create and edit files
Almanac can create and edit Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel workbooks. Created files appear in Files.
To continue working on a file, open it from the conversation and describe the changes you want. Almanac updates the same file and preserves its version history.
Reduce this to eight slides, move the methods to an appendix, and make the summary slide suitable to leave on screen during questions.
Review changes and versions
Review revisions
Open Revisions to see what Almanac changed in a file. Added and removed content appears as a diff.
You can undo an edit directly from Revisions without asking Almanac to recreate the earlier version.
Restore a version
Open the version selector to review earlier states of a file and restore one.
Files remain with the conversation where they were created. Move a file to your Library or download it if you'll need it outside that conversation.
