Almanac can keep working in the background, on tasks that run for minutes, hours, or days. You don't need to keep a tab open or watch it work. Almanac continues on its own and notifies you when it finishes, needs your input, or requires your approval. See Notifications.
Plan and steer the work
Ask for a plan
Type / and choose Plan mode. Almanac investigates the task, prepares a plan, and waits for your approval before taking action. You can edit the plan before approving it.
Use Plan mode for work involving several files, multiple steps, or an approach you want to review first.
Follow the progress
Almanac reports its progress as it works and groups related updates so longer tasks remain easy to follow.
Redirect the task
Send another message while Almanac is working to apply the new instruction to the work in progress.
Work with files and analysis
File processing and analysis take place in a temporary sandbox where Almanac can read attachments, run code, and create files.
Approve changes
Before Almanac edits a file or runs a command, it shows you the proposed action and waits. You can approve it, deny it, or give different instructions.
To choose when Almanac asks for approval, go to Settings > Configuration > Request approval. See Permissions.
