Setup

Signing in is most of it. Pick the surface you are on.

Use Almanac on the web for clinical questions, patient work, and documents.

  1. Open Almanac and sign in

Go to almanac.chat, then sign in with your Almanac account. See Almanac on the web.

  2. Choose your plugins

Select Plugins in the sidebar, then turn on the tools and connectors relevant to your work. Keeping the list focused helps Almanac choose the right tool for each task. See Plugins.

  3. Add documents to your Library

Select Library in the sidebar, then upload documents you use often, such as a protocol, formulary, or template. Library files are available in every conversation. To reference one, type @, then choose the file. See Files.

  4. Connect your EHR

To work with patient records, choose Settings > Electronic Health Record, then connect your organization's EHR. Press Command-K to find a patient. Select the patient to start a conversation with their chart in context.

EHR connections are available with Almanac Enterprise. See Patients.

  5. Send your first message

Describe what you want Almanac to do and include any files or context it needs. Try an example:

    Summarize the latest evidence

Review changes in a patient's chart

    Draft a patient letter
