Availability of administrative controls is confirmed during rollout. Your agreement with Almanac governs the features available to your organization.
Choose organization roles
Administrators manage members, approve plugins, set organization-wide configuration, and manage billing. Assign at least two administrators and keep the group limited.
Members use Almanac within the policies set by the organization. They can manage their own preferences when organization settings allow it.
Understand member access
A member’s conversations, files, and memories are private to that member. Other members and organization administrators can’t read them through the administration controls.
Patient access follows the permissions already granted by your EHR. A member can use patient context in Almanac only when they can access the same patient in the EHR.
See Patients.
Add and remove members
Directory provisioning keeps access synchronized with your existing member lifecycle. When someone is removed from the appropriate directory group, their Almanac access is removed.
Without directory sync, an administrator must add and remove members manually. See Groups and provisioning.
Decide before rollout whether a departing member’s work should remain in place, be exported, or be removed. Align this choice with your organization’s records policy.
Decide before rollout
Choose:
- Who will serve as administrators.
- How administrators are replaced when they leave.
- Whether membership is managed through your directory or manually.
- What happens to a member’s work when their account is removed.
- Which settings members may change.
